The Dirtybird Equal Opportunity Scholarship at Beat Lab Academy is for BIPOC who are passionate and driven to begin or further their career in music.
Dirtybird is an underground house music label and event company who has partnered with Beat Lab Academy to create and fund this ongoing educational scholarship. Recognizing that house and techno music is of Black origin, Dirtybird designed this scholarship to support diversity in dance music, and help BIPOC to gain education in music production.
With the Beat Lab's world-renowned 6-month program, students will gain all the necessary skills to write and produce music at a professional level. With our virtual classroom, outside class review sessions, and study groups - Beat Lab offers an all-encompassing educational experience from wherever you are in the world. Dirtybird will also provide mentorship in marketing, branding & career development as well as a gear grant for each scholarship.
The first Scholarship will be awarded to begin September 15, 2020. To apply, please submit this questionnaire by August 15, 2020. The process for acceptance will include an essay, letters of recommendations and an interview.
