OK, here’s the scenario…Claude Vonstroke is playing somewhere up North in the UK. It’s one of those nights where the crowd is good but not great and he’s tried everything. He flips through his cds and thinks….”Hmmmm, my friend Worthy just made this one, maybe I’ll try it out.” 5 minutes later the whole place is hands in the air and Claude has a big grin thinking to himself…”Got to call Worthy ands sign this shit ASAP!”

And so we have, “Irst_te?” The word is Bay Area Fillmore slang for “Thirsty?” Worthy saw it painted on a fence somewhere and took a picture, then made a track about it. This could be a breakout year for Worthy who has already had multiple plays on Radio One of his Whistler remix and “That Funkin’ Noise” from his digital label, Katabatic.

“Irst_te?” is bouncy and fun and it sounds kind of like it was inspired by the band in the original Star Wars with the alien clarinet players and the blue elephant on keys. Claude VonStroke takes it darker and more techno, with an epic sounding build that could fit into almost any set. It’s the only track in his collection where he has been asked on two different occasions to turn it down. (including a run in with the cops in Miami this year.) Newcomer, Christian Martin (1/2 of the Martin Brothers duo,) delivers a heavy drum n’ bass inspired mix, cool for your ears and your subs. So check it!
